Companies can winmise this overbend by effectively putting the server into the switch. Protocol translation between the server mid the switch is no longer required, and Gigabit Ethernet does not limit the bandwidth of the connection. Using Gigalabs' GigaStar and Giglipe (shown on the right), you can cut out the translation and reduce overbead.
